About Our Vicar

 

 

Mike Tanner, a native of Mississippi, became an Episcopal priest after 30 years in the law. He is a graduate of Candler School of Theology (Emory University) and has studied at the School of Theology (University of the South) and at Columbia Theological Seminary.  He received clinical pastoral education at St. Joseph's Hospital, Atlanta, and served the Church of the Holy Comforter as seminarian and deacon for three years before becoming Vicar.

O heavenly Father, you have filled the world with beauty:  Open our eyes to behold your gracious hand in all your works; that, rejoicing in your whole creation, we may learn to serve you with gladness; for the sake of him through whom all things were made, you Son Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.  (Book of Common Prayer)
